Uh, un chien andalou takes the cake. I can't say I am a fan of bunuel though. As l'age d'or is the only other movie I wholeheartedly enjoyed from him.

But besides that I am very into Jan Svanmajer. really enjoyed Food, and of course Dimensions of dialogue.

I think that andy warhols movies are overlooked. Sleep or blowjob are probably my favorites.

More recently- I saw haze last night, loved it. Shinya Tsukamoto is a fucking genius.

I haven't seen many shorts but I've got a book of Bunuel screenplays, one of which I only sort of liked... Viridiana I think it was called. However, I absolutely loved Le Charme discret de la bourgeoisie.

I'll have to bump the Svanmajer shorts up on my netflix.

What I really want is to see some by Truffaut!
