Where can I find a vest or waistcoat (what's the difference?) like the one attached?

Not plaid, but that same design/style. I'm looking for a grey one and a black one. I'm loving them more and more. THANKS!

many many brands have vests like that, as mentioned they can be called gilets but I've seen the exact same thing being sold as a waistcoat or vest.

you can probably find one at a thrift store for $5, if you're ready to pay more kris van assche, cloak and ann demeulemeester have nice looking ones, but those can cost anything up to 2-400. you can of course also find something in between from H&M or some other similar labels.

im more interested on how to get that bunched bracelet look that Hedi has achieved in this pic.

its really hard to match all those bracelets and bunch them together and still look that good:mad:

Yeah definitely, I have a couple, and one from the 60's that was $20! They're bound to have nice ones! Just please don't wear it with a button down shirt!

i'm not exactly sure but it looks like what he's looking for isn't a normal vest but rather one that is backless and loops around the neck kind of. i haven't seen anything like this before but i was thinking maybe this would help you guys refine your recommendations.

what's the difference between a gilet and a waistcoat (i was under the impression gilet was just french for waistcoat)?

see how it loops around the back of the neck? this leaves some of the back bare. while a regular waitcoat connects at the back and completely covers it.

just my assumption though...

I totally didn't notice the back oepn like that. That's pretty cool. I'm back in LA so I'm gonna do some hunting and find a couple pieces.
