the 55's fit like complete shit, so i doubt they will replace the 47s in prominence. Let's keep in mind that Sugarcane is a brand, and is designed to make a profit even if they also want to pay homage to something they love. For a true repro cut people will just have to turn to japanese LVC i guess, or perhaps just the baggier cuts from other repro brands.

You're right, the 55 cut is pretty shitty...but if we're talking "collecting", they're far less common (for a good reason, yes) which in essence make them worth more.

Agreed that the repro awards should probably go to LVC...I wish they had longer inseams.

I've seen LVC with 40inch inseams in vintage shops in England. Wasn't aware they didn't sell longer inseams-are the lengths i've seen a rarity then?

an interesting developement....i love canes but i cant do any of the repro cuts...they just dont work for me. Their attention to detail is incredible though so hopefuly they drop soemthing i can handle (prolly the SEXSC)

Their North American selection is limited. Have yet to come across that 40" inseam...but I'll keep my eyes open.

The short legged people don't want the hassle of hemming...the long legged people have to opt out...the companies have to decide which customer to cater to.

I thought the SExSC would be that much cooler because I've always associated Sugar Cane with repro cuts. I guess it won't be that much different if SC is going to put out more modern cuts.

i'd appreciate a more slim pair of canes. i barely wear my 45s because there too much of a full cut for me. i would like to see what the cut would be similar to.
