Earphones

Hey guys. I asked for some advice from some audiophile friends of mine with respect to earphones a few years ago, and was led by them to purchase the UE super.fi 3s. After having used them since then, I have a few complaints: (1) they stick way out of your ears and look strange, (2) the cord breaks ALL THE TIME (I've had to write in to get a new cord at least five times), and (3) the plastic earphone itself split apart today with almost no shock at all.

So, I'm in the market for new in-ear earphones in the same vein as the super.fis. Can anyone recommend a good pair in the $50 to, say, $120 price range? (And maybe higher if you can convince me it's worth it). Here's what I'm looking for, in order of importance: (1) comfort, (2) good sound quality, (3) inconspicuous profile, (4) durability, (4) affordable price.

Thanks a lot in advance for the help! And sorry if this has been posted in the relative recent past.

Believe it or not, as someone who owns the Shure in-ears, the Grado SR-60s, etc., my favorite earphones is ... the combination of the Apple in-ear phones and the foam sleeves from Shure, which fit the apple phones perfectly.

The sound isn't quite as good as the Shure and is definitely not as good as my SR-60. But, that said, the apple phones are cheap, durable, and easy to replace when they eventually break; and once you replace the lame silicone tips with the completely isolating foam sleeves, the sound is great, only *marginally* less good than the Shure E2c. You never have to worry about them and can just stuff them in your pocket.

This is a great upgrade to try if you already own the apple in-ears.
