Dont know how this happened, but it probably isnt too hard to guess. Didn't know him personally, met him once and we talked a bit about a song he wrote that i really liked, he mentioned that one was the best one he had ever written. Dope grafitti writer, amazing singer/songwriter....fuckin shame. I just happened to log on to the anythhing glob and saw this, kinda floored me for a minute.

Semz was an honest guy- chatted him up a few times over the course of the past year at one of his shows and at random events, and the one thing that always came across was the like...raw truth and realness in everything he said and did.

this is nuts. I grew up on staten island and would see semz tags everywhere - when I was at high school he went all-city with this dude Sag, hooked up with KCW, then IRAK, etc etc

... last I heard he was making sad-sack acoustic singer songwriter music... damn.

Word, this shit is pretty sad. Semz was one of my favorite writers, and I like his music too.

I ran into Semz a couple times, he was genuine dude. I didn't realize he was depressed and into drugs this heavily ..
