If it's MOLLE you can get hundreds of third-party add-ons for it. That's the idea. Same with the Acr Tec-Sys bags.

I`m not sure its true MOLLE. I think its a unique "ladder system" designed by tet for porter. You can see some of the exposed "ladders" in the pic. they`re just straps with heavy velcro underneath. the ad on packs also have the velcro and a snap locking system to lock into place. Not sure if this is how MOLLE works?

Pand - yeah the ad ons come up on y!jp sometimes too. I`m looking for more to fully spec out my pack.

The line is called "Readypack Cargo". I think theres been a total of 3 generations. They had 3rd gen stuff including small ad ons etc in Black Flag as late as 2006 but none right now, strictly resell.

Heres one of the ad ons I`m after right now:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOLLE_(military)

The term MOLLE is used not only to describe the specific system manufactured by Speciality Defense Systems, but is used interchangeably to generically describe all load bearing systems and subsystems that utilize the woven PALs (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) webbing for modular pouch attachment (though MOLLE is proprietary to Natick Labs, most use MOLLE and PALs interchangeably).

Derivatives based upon the MOLLE attachment method (such as the Tactical Tailor MALICE clip system) have also been developed. Any system which utilizes modular attachment methods and is useable with U.S. general issue MOLLE components is often considered "MOLLE-compatible" or is called a "MOLLE" system. More and more non-military manufacturers are incorporating MOLLE technology into outdoor equipment.

There are three general modes of attachment in the MOLLE arena, they are "Natick Snap", that uses a polyethlyene reinforced webbing strap with the 'pushthedot' snap for security. There is the polymer "Malice" clip developed by Tactical Tailor as an alternative to the Natick Snap concept, interweaves like the Natick Snap, but terminates in a semi-permanent closure that requires a screwdriver/flat tipped object to disengage. Finally there are a variety of attachments that fall into the "Weave & Tuck" category in which the end of an interwoven strap is tucked into an item's backing after attachment to a vest or pack (Paraclete's SofStrap and Spec Ops Brand's hybrid attachment).

Think the laddering part is merely the PALS.

yeah more or less. MOLLE basically refers to the system of reinforced loops that can be applied to a variety of equipment, as well as to the things that can be attached using those loops. if you look at the eagle bags you can see the difference between a bag being MOLLE-compatible or not. that bag you posted could almost certainly support any variety of third party MOLLE stuff with those straps

i don't know. it's like the supreme dunks. i just can't justify it. i can't imagine that the w)taps porter one could be that much better than a surplus military one.

I know alot of my airsoft buddies use molle systems on their everything. chest rigs, backpacks, gear, etc. I remember the molle system backpacks cost about $200, but you could basically put your life in it, water packs, gear galore, its gets inmense...

i've never understood what kind of stuff airsoft players actually carry in all that gear. aside from soda and potato chips.

yeah I wonder too. usually they carry a camelback molle system, lots of mags, a flashlight (which is no use cause we're playing in broad daylight) and one of those red light thingies, but other than that I really don't get why they take so much stuff, and most of them are fat too, guess its a jenny craig/or atkins diet thing they have to do...

nice, hi chew poster, lol those stuff rock.
