Similar Models to the Edwin ed-55

Hi

I was just wondering if anyone knows any models by other brands that are similar to the edwin ed-55?

And also wich model they have taken the fit from, since i have heard that it is taken from som levis model but im not sure.

Hope you lot can help me.

They might be 1955 Levi's 501 repros. I can't seem to find much information, or pictures of the fit, however. They seem like they have a lower rise, however/

It follows the naming scheme of the ED-47, which is a 1947 501 repro.

Well, if it is a 55 501 repro it is not accurate. It's a really slim cut, ED-55.

Yes, it seems likley that they are not repros since they have tapered legs and aren't selvedge like the 501 from 55 have. But are based on another model.

So if anybody has any spare time it's worth checking out not just to help me with the fit of the jeans but also because it's a great store.

All edwin models I have heard about are lvc repros, but it's intresting info that they also have lee repros.

I see thaks for the info. talked to a guy at a denim store today and he didn't know either. it seems to be a dead case.

Ed-47 is not a repro of a 1947 501. It's straight cut, but that's about as far as it goes. Ed-47 doesn't have any Levi characteristics. Rainbow selvage, four button fly, low cut, different pockets, nothing really to make it a repro. Just like ed-55 is not a 1955 repro.

EU-Edwin and Japanese Edwin have completely different lines. EU line doesn't make repros like Edwin Japan.
