Need your expert opinion(s). Is Paper denim marketed to cater to masses. Sort of the type that would be snobbed by people who know their jeans. Just an opinion a friend voiced out. I just want to verify. Obviously. I'm quite naive. Thanks!

the main problem with Paper is that it's gone the way of Diesel. At this point, they are turning up left and right in the second hand stores with all of the other diesel crap.

I saw some womens Paper Denims at Costco in Arlington VA just last week for about $90... What does that say about their rep?

I'm still not sick of my Paper Denims, but I have seen them at outlets for $90--I'm pretty sure they are factory rejects b/c they have the tags cut. Anyway, I haven't found another label that fits me as well.

Could you say in terms of quality, pound per pound ROGAN would still come out the best? How about Loomstate, APC, rag & bone, nudie, or corpus denim.

Hmmm.. Loomstate and Rogan = crap quality. Rag & Bone, APC, Nudie, Corpus = good quality (R&B and Nudie are more hit or miss).

I think quality can be judged in a couple ways. If you're looking for durability, you would definitely look at APC, 45RPM, etc that use 14oz+ denims. On the other hand, Rogan, Paper Denim, Ernest Sewn, etc for the most part are high quality ringspun denims, but they are more processed for worn-in looks and may not have the durability as a heavier denim, but both types of denim undoubtedly have high-quality workmanship.
