dealing with people who dont know wtf dry denim is

i'll have to agree with kiz - just do whatever you want. if you buy them tight and wear them all the time without washing then they'll stretch out lots. if and when you finally shrink them you'll prob find that they'll shrink more in length as they've been stretched out at the waist and thigh.

however, if you want to shrink them to your size than just size up a bit and you'll be fine. you can still get great results if you shrink them first - in fact, if you wash them, put them on and sit in the tub for a bit, then let them dry on you. bring a beer in the tub with you and you have not a bad lazy aft activity. i guess the bottom line is wear them all the time and they'll look amazing.

everyone worrys too much

none of the old miners worried about if their jeans got wet, mud splattered, or stained, and they ended up with the best jeans to begin with

i spilled a whole bottle of water on my jeans the other day by accident.. my "dry jeans" suddenly werent so dry anymore but a hairdryer solved that problem

I got stuck in a down pour once in my dry denim, I had had them for about a year or so and had yet to wash them, they looked way better the next day after they dried out, sorta like when I dry clean them the first time after breaking them in but better.
