www.laughingcrowe.com I stumbled upon these on myspace of all places (the dude who makes them is in a band that recorded a track for a southern lord comp). They do some really high quality custom leather pieces. They focus on period stuff so some of their pieces have strange fastening mechanisms and odd adornments, but the fact that they are totally custom hand made pieces I asssume means you can order stuff with whatever appointments youd like. I grant that they are totally strange but theyve got a cool scandinavian-influenced red moon thing going on (and dont forget that redmoon and all those japanese jeather companies are variations on native american handcrafts). The prices arent what id call *cheap* but they use extremely high quality leather and for around $300-$500 for totally custom handmade (they ask you to take a cast of your foot and send it in, so custom means CUSTOM) shoes and boots, the value level is high. anyway heres some pics of the shoes:

I am told these are adaptations of traditional viking shoes, they have a really cool toned-down chukka look to them, not to mention the natural leather:

I dunno what you would call these but they have a great upscale clarks (plus crepe is on the sole options list) look to them:

I agree with up and coming, some of the designs are great, although some of them i posted as a total joke. If you cant tell which ones then i dunno.
