I know it's been said by everyone, but great shit man! They look amazing for your first go. from what I can see, I doubt anyone would be able to tell you made them yourself (with no experience) when they see you wearing them!

almost all fabric shops sell a denim, selvedge is obviously harder to get hold of though, but selvedge does not always mean good quality anyway..

if your machine has an overcast stitch to neeten edges of the cut denim you should be all good anyway.. and if you wanna go big pum-pum rolling get a twin needle for your top stitch
