wallet chains

I'm liking some of the wallet chains i'm seeing in outfits. Do you guys buy those with the wallet or seperately. And if u buy them seperately than can you use em with any wallet. I wanna get a chain but i don't want a new wallet.

Does your wallet have a grommet for the chain? You can probably have one put in at a leather place or if you're into going the cheap and ghetto method you could just punch a hole in the wallet. I personally would buy them together or at least but something that was designed to be used with a chain.

^agreed and of course you can buy chains seperately. I personally have a saddle leather chain for my skull mid length. Perfect. Soon if i can justify it then i am going to get a redmoon BK-FP. Maybe..

I liked the clasp mechanism, but the chain was too big for me (I don't really wear wallet chains)

is there a difference in those braided wallet chains except for the looks, I mean, is one type of braiding stronger then the other type? the RM looks rougher, yet the FH looks like it would be capable of 'pulling more weight'...

I read somewhere RM wallet chains are the best tho, sorry if this has been discussed before...

I would say the SR-CR-1 is the strongest considering it is a steel chain with leather threaded through. But yeh i agree the flat head looks much more sturdy. Both flathead and redmoon are both tough brands, personally having not helb both in my hands, i couldnt tell which is more sturdy. But yeh im sure they are fairly similiar. I have heard a few times though that the flathead is a much better quality, but who would know. I can only make that decision if i owned both. I would suggest asking in the Evolution of Leather Goods: Before and After Pictures thread as there is bound to be someone who would know more than me.

As far as non-leather chains go, I saw a black one by Jam Home Made that was really nice; instead of one continuous linked chain, it was 3 linked metal rods. If only I could find the damn thing online somewhere

i have the skull medallion wallet as well as the skull leather chain. bought each separately. you probably could use the chain for other wallets, but im anal and i like my shit to match...

We carry kangaroo leather chains by Flat Head which are black leather.. and also black or tan single piece ones by Skull..

Both are really cool, but a very different look on each

i have never seen the skull saddle wallet chain being put on before. and would like to see someone who owns one take pic of it in action before i consider on buying that or the flathead wallet chain.
