i was just at BiG and yuji told me about PBJs new model they will have out soon, the XX-006 i believe he said, more straight, wide cut, even slubbier denim, looked pretty cool, anyone know more?

I'm going to come out and say BIG really has no one except for Gordon who can help. everytime I call to ask for a question they have no idea what Im talking about and tell me to call back when Gordon is around. One reason why I like Selfedge is because WHENEVER I call someone is able to help me and they seem genuinely happy to help me in any way possible.

btw, there has already been a lot of talk about the pbj xx-006. it has beautiful wear and it is not very slubby. same cut as the xx-003

Went to BiG, I got to see the samples. They're wide in the leg, really stiff but not at ALL slubby, let me repeat myself; slub level = 0, and quite dark. Apparently the indigo used to dye them takes something like a year to ferment, though I couldn't exactly see what was so special about them...

That gorgeous pair they had hanging on the wall was an 006. They fade REALLY nicely.

ah shit, I had a brown paper bag ready to cope with hyper ventilating, 006?!?! These have been around for a while right? I cant get excited about these, im sure they fade beautifully, but they just seem more "normal" to me. The slub is what sets PBJ apart for me. 006fabric in a 005cut would be great though. A garment dyed 005, an 005 dipped in black like those iron hearts would be cool.

well, gordon *did* show me a sample of a new PBJ style that is not the XX-006. it was pretty cool. if you are in new york, definitely check it out in the store.
