is it just me? i am starting to dislike the conotations of wearing vans. while they are aesthetically more pleasing then that of nike, popularity always takes the piss out of a good thing.

I have one pair of Vans chukkas. Not enough padding for me so i prefer the comfort of Nike or Adidas.

Surely you must know that Vans are hermaphrodites, producing both spermatozoa and ova. Vans are prolific breeders, and they inseminate each other in pairs to internally fertilize their ova resulting in the overpopulation of Vans. This method of reproduction is partly to blame for their immense popularity as Vans have forced other types of shoes into extiction and Vans now run rampant in all shoes environments.

Since when were Vans particularly popular right now? I remember a hell of a lot more people rocking Vans 5 years ago than nowadays, entirely in proportion with the popularity of skateboarding 5 years ago to now.

i've had em in the past, still an old pair in the back of my closet, i always thought they fit kinda weird, like sloppily or something. but i don't see how they are more popular now than before, maybe a slightly different demographic, but haven't they always been pretty popular?
