i feel you starfighter. i was definitely hyped on it, now i don't even listen to it... beat bang is stilll dope though.

luca you mean drop the lime? trouble and bass... fuck yeah. math head's new ep is ridiculous on a big system with bass... last time i spun the kid who had the closing set bailed at like 3:30... i got back on and drilled some bass heavy tracks, math head back to back. pretty cool cuz otherwise that wouldn't have gone over well down here at all.

ppelectro seems like he sleeps on EVERYTHING. I counted like 4 or 5 posts where he said something like "okay so this isn't exactly new....". But this detboi remix of Machines Don't Care's "How You Like" is pretty hot.

anyone have the soulwax kids remix? Is it even out yet?

on a side note, soulwax (and a-trak) djed at my loft last weekend

You and the collective internet are all waiting on the kids remix. The drop date hasn't even been announced yet. I check at least once a day to see if its released yet just to be disappointed. Kinda strange what with it already being so late in the summer. Oh well.

Anyone here heard of Redial at all?

I have a feeling they are about to seriously blow the fuck up, the EP just dropped last month some time, go give him a listen, especially 45 Overdrive.

Sounds a bit like Danger x Kavinsky

NEG RAP >: (

I didn't know sufu had a population of in-the-know electro junkies, which kinda saddens me now that the summer is coming to an end. Since June I've been stuck in my boring little backwater town, so I pass the time riding the electro blog wave.

Those of you who do your regular blog circuits should add You Can Call Me Pelski (http://ppelectro.blogspot.com/) to your rotation. On average he has a much better junk:gems ratio (although lately he's been fagging it up with too much dubstep and dnb).

Anyone here fans of Late of the Pier or any other more rock-ish electro? I've been really searching hard lately for more of that devastatingly 80's sound. The faint delivers somewhat, but not to the extent that I need. Give these two songs a listen and see if anyone can help me out at all =)

yeah nothing really that i can say is close to LOTP. maybe Does it offend you, yeah?... their new remix of the faint's the geeks were right is really good.

for the record i could give a shit if anyone knows about it first. i just try to post stuff that hasn't been brought up. if you know about it, cool. what kills me are the people who aren't appreciative after getting shown some amazing music.

check this 20 min digitalism set. handful of awesome tracks including proxy's remix of digitalism's home zone (3:30 in). can anyone ID the 5th or last track?

yea!,

you mentioned a few pages back about discovering non-mainstream tunes on sites like beatport and stuff. i tried it out and found a lot of shit i liked. thing is i don't wanna pay $2.50 per song.

you think what.cd or waffles.fm carry some of the more obscure electro stuff? i'm debating between begging around for an invite versus just paying for the music.

Hey guys, wondering if anyone can ID this track. Friends and I have heard it 3 times at different clubs in the last month & asked the DJ last night but were too smashed/loud to hear.

I made up a bit of the choppy vocal melody that I remember:

???

could it be DJ DLG - Paramount (Rogerseventytwo Remix)?

sick tune nonetheless

jesus christ, this is what djing has come to.

you got it easy bud. 2.50 aint nothing. If you just fiend off of guys on torrent sites, what are you "discovering"?

beatport isn't "non mainstream" eaither, plenty of dumb shit is on there.

there are probably 300 other beatport equivalents as well. Try decks.de. Try netlabels.

Thing about finding even fairly limited release stuff (I was trying to find some of the releases from The Kraken label who released that 2000F remix of Natasja's 'Idlebrand I byen' that was fucking amazing) is that it's generally a. not on what.cd in the first place or b. limited in scope. There was only like two releases out of however many there are and they were both fairly old.

Also, there's c. where no one will ever download it again so you're just draining ratio by downloading anything obscure or d. no one is even seeding it anymore for reason c.

Basically it's fairly hit-and-miss.
