Gentlemen.

Where would be the best place to find a good quality slim-fitting, (ie, DH-ish) white dress shirt to wear with a black suit? Oh, and It has to be french cuff too.

Yeah I would say Calibre.... or even dare I say.... morrisey - their stuff fits really slim. Saba has white french cuff shirts which are slimish but probably not DH slim - if you want i can get you 35% off. Or check out world on Glenmore Road they always do french cuff and their stuff is slim but I dont know if they do a plain white.

On another note topman.com now delivers to aust. Just placed an order for a bunch of stuff.

i ordered silver skinny jeans because i can't for the life of me find a stockist for the RAF ones in this entire world.

and i needed a outfit for my works xmas party which is themed 50's prom so i got

the shiney black slim suit

red patent leather dress shoes

red skinny tie n suspenders

and my friend went in on my order and got her brother fred perry sneakers and a polo (polo isnt fp) for his bday.

i dunno that much about the quality - i currently own a tee and 2 skinny ties which were gifts. the ties are ok for what they are - the tee is a bit average. Will report on the quality of this stuff when it comes in. 3-5 days i think it said.

edit: i just noticed the h&m comparison... the tee i have is definately lower qual while i would say the ties are on par.

as long as its tidy and fits properly it looks ok. its not on top of any trends or anything but from the general publics point of view it looks 'nice'.

Just dont match it with boot-cut jeans, square toe shoes and some god awful printed tee or shirt. Will look like you got caught up in a YD, Politix, tarocash explosion.

I wear blazer + jeans into the office when I'm to lazy to think of a good outfit.

Most guys end up looking like Rove when attempting the blazer + jeans. Everytime I see Rove on tv I want to put my fist through the screen.

homme.homme - I didn't see any red patent leather shoes on the Topman website? I would be interested to see what they look like when you get them.

I dont know what sizing is going to be like... they have a chart on the site but those things are never exactly accurate. I usually wear a 9 or 42 in almost everything but i got a 43 topman based on a few factors - one being their sizing chart but the main thing is that was the only size left and i figured due to the slimmer toe area bigger would be better then smaller.

Homme, you might have mentioned it but im pretty lazy. What was shipping prices like? Obviously shithouse, but how shithouse? aha

Actually not that bad... Bulk fee of 10 Pounds regardless of how much/little you order - although orders of about 300 Pounds or over should be free in my opinion but beggars can't be choosey.

That is nice! I probably would have bought it but I have a couple jackets that are very similar it it already.

yeah i'm looking for a blazer as well... was at bondi junction this evening, walking around and stuff and looking for a PLAIN BLACK classic blazer. shortlisted 3.

saba, marcs and one by morrissey. thing is, they're [500, 500 and 400] respectively. and the morrissey one is only 400 because of a 20% discount. so its all pretty pricey.

i'm a pretty small person [175cm, 72kgs] and for some reason all the blazers just seem to be too long..

anyone know where i can pick up one for a decent price [ideally less than those above] along with great pair of shoes? thanks fellas.

Incu has an A.P.C. black blazer (part of a suit) in small at the Galeries Victoria store, you can check it on the website. I've tried it on and the length fits quite short on me and I am only slightly taller than yourself. However, it costs $699 but it fits the bill for what you are looking for in a black blazer.
