Screen Printing vs. Hand Painting

Does anyone know what the best method is for printing on silk fabric? I'm looking into implenting a colorful and gradient heavy design on this fabric. Has anyone had any experience out there in the vendor fashion world?

This is going overseas and so far vendors have provided options of screenprint, hand painting, heat transfer and digital print?

Any thoughts on what will give the best high quality item?...the fabric is of quality as well.

i think screenprint is pretty much the industry standard.... when i started doin some of my own tshirt prints, i used multiple stencils and fabric paint and a paint roller. not the most efficient but gets the job done.
