european/american fit question

i was looking through ssense.com and was using their search by size feature. apparently the small sizes also include sizes 44, 46...but i thought those were pretty much large sizes in american sizing? 36-38 would be xs/s in american sizing. for example:

the DG blazer has size 46/48. is that european sizing for 36/38? or is the search just messed up? i know it's a little different in europe but i can't seem to find any good google articles/charts on it.

yes just add 10 to the american sizing and you have the eu/it size.

so is that DG size actually 36 american? they also have juicy couture blazers at 42/44...but 42-10 is way too insane, but then why would it be in the "small" category. the only reason i can think of is that the actualy shop is located in canada...maybe they use the euro sizing charts?

They are using the same sizes that the brand uses, since D&G is made in Italy and overall it's a European brand, their sizes are European. Juicy Couture is a US brand or at least, afaik, they mark their clothes in US sizes. As such their 38/40/42 is a US 38/40/42.
