I hated consorting with people who would take the time to do extra-curriculars when I was in high school.

Frankly, I hate the idea of extra-curriculars--a lot of insipid nonsense for people to do their bucolic Christian charity or otherwise pimp up their applications. It's socialist in the worst sort of way.

la is a terrible city to drive in, the traffic is always horrible and as an incoming student you'd have a really hard time getting a campus parking permit etc. anyway.

it really depends on what you're looking for in a college and also where you're coming from for the state schools, you didn't give very much information and there are a lot of ucs and they are all very different (except they are pretty much all huge)
