as i continue working through my current project, i am starting to research possibilities for my next. i've come to the conclusion that in order to be 100% satisfied with my next pair, we're going to need donut buttons. i have these on my samurais, and having worked with buttons of other types, i have come to really appreciate the comfort of those little O's against my fingertips. I researched quite a bit tonight, and all I could come up with were some versions of samurai and the duckdiggers. Can we get some sort of list going here with other possibilities?

Ideally, we'd be getting some slubby denim with a longish inseam and preferably reasonably slim, but not ball-crunchingly tight. This seems to be narrowing my options considerably...Maybe Samurai will make some more 505s but with a button fly. That'd be perfect

Hello Jeff,

If you want a list of D-button user, it'll be ong as most shrt loomers use them and a lot of the bigger boys are using them in the faux short loom, maybe we should put together a list them so we would all know what not to look for

Somet's have the best overall fly contruction I have seen.

The placket is two layers, but with the backside of the denim facing out. Makes for a cool accent when buttoned and the button holes will never rip.

And yes they have doughnuts.

Poly-

No, I haven't had any issues. These things are the best.

The only thing I would say is that I am waiting for the rear pockets to soften up so that they don't push the sides of seat out flat. The pockets are also two layers of denim(like the fly placket), so they will remain rigid longer than the rest of the jean, but will also last forever.
