Have any of you seen a pair of these pants in person? They appear to be very authentic reproductions of the famed WWII khakis that are raved about by old men. Considering how much better good repro jeans are than commonly available jeans I'm wondering how good these are.

I'm not so interested in authenticity as I am in things being made well. I have a pair of Bill's and I love them. I want a pair of their button fly pants but the only way you can get them is washed to beat hell and nearly worn out. Letting their washing maching kill the first 2/3 of the life of my pants doesn't make sense to me.

The Rickson's are about the same price as the Bill's button fly's if I get them from 2000bd. For some reason the wwiiimpressions ones don't look as good to me. Not sure why.

Hmmm... the Rickson's would cost me about $45 more shipped than the WWII impressions khakis. The care instruction for the WWII pants scares me a bit. I'm going to have to think about this. My wife is gone on business for the next 4 days so I'd like to do something financially irresponsible while she's gone. Keeps her on her toes. :)
