Tried to do wash on jeans - failed miserably - help!

I did the sandpaper thing trying to do a custom wash. I went nuts with the crotch whiskering and now the front of my jeans resemble a zebra. The only thing I can think to do is fade out in between the whiskering and then try and match the rest of the jeans. Please help me, I am also considering just tossing the jeans.

Thank You,

I've totally done shit like that before...tried to tweak or customize something just a little bit and ended up going way too far and fucking it up.

I say wash em a couple more times and see if the indigo fades/bleeds a little. The contrast might not be so harsh then. Or I guess you could always just do the total opposite and get them so dirty that you don't notice the faded. Trying to even them out and then get the same effect on the rest of the jeans sounds like a lot of work.
