WAIT WAT!? Those are the same pair of jeans after 1 year???

r u sure??they dont even look the same.

do all dark denims fade that much?

i just bought some APCS i hope they dont turn from shiny dark blue to that color blue

It's pretty impossible to keep your raw jeans in that shiny dark blue color. And your APCs are much lighter to begin with than the eternal 811/tigers.

And most people on here would kill to get a fade like that!

Watchmen, you ordered from this guy? Why has the forum not jumped all over this "spammer"? Looks like a good place, as long as it is reliable. Why Japanese denim out of Thailand?

I do not own 811s, but the bears xEternal Tiger jeans, which according to Minya iirc, are almost identical. I have these in a size 34, and just sold 66 Canes in size 33. It should be noted that the 34 Eternals are in reality a 32.

However, I do not understand the whole 66s are slim thing, as in my waist size, they literally looked like clown pants, billowing at the waist. The Eternals from what I gather are considerably lower waisted with a straight leg. Maybe fall into the modern cut Japanese denim category. The Eternals fit me very slim all the way thorugh the leg. 811s are hardly low-waisted; they're mid-to-high waist (5 button fly) and straight legged. they do bulge out a bit at the waist before resuming their slim cut - but that could be because mine have not been broken in properly yet. you're probably right about them not being '66s though, the hidden rivets are a giveaway. actually the cut looks like a 505 more than a 501...

out of thailand? the seller is located in taipei, taiwan. their "about" page says that they are a group of friends who are also design-buffs who got together in 2002 - they recently opened their store in 2005 called "Summit".

Mine are the Bears x Eternal Tiger Jeans. I bought mine from Minya in Supermarket for 175 plus 20 shipping (I wanted them right then and there).

On a side note, the 66s were just a really akward fit. I do not know how to explain it very well, but maybe it is my build; a bit shorter and fuller. (5 9 and 170). They were not slim by any means on me, and am curious where the idea that they are slim comes from. I have seen many other cuts fit much slimmer. And again, these fit in the waist.

i guess i'll just have to see. I am about 6 foot, 145, and ordered a size 32, so if they truly do run small then i'm planning on stretching the waist to keep the same fit in the legs. They look relatively slim in the pictures i've seen, but i could be wrong.

if you look in the jeans before and after thread you will see countless pairs of faded apcs so you can get an idea of how they will fade.

all jeans will continue to fade and become lighter and lighter with each wash.

why would dark jeans not fade?

and why would not want them to?

Yeah I've tried these on at sweeth's store in Taipei. He owns this place called Summit near the Bape Taipei shop. From my experience, these seemed to be built better than the sugercane 47's I was wearing but all the 811s were one wash. I think the retail price was around 6000 NT which translates to about $190.

the rakuten price (incl. tax but without shipping) for 811s are Y18690 = NT$5233 approx, so these are slightly more expensive. definitely more expensive than SC '47s

811s come in raw and one-wash, but again there's no reason to buy them raw when they are unsanforised anyway.

super, did you take any pics of the place when you were there? what were your impressions of the store in general?
