Fred Perry - Made in China

I've noticed that all the Fred Perry I've been seeing as of late has been made in China. Other than the loss of prestige, is there any difference between the made in China FP and the made in England FP?

I'm fairly certain they're cut differently. The English-made FP polos are very, very slim and long (they look fantastic), and the pique cotton used is much nicer than any I've felt on other polos. I'm not sure if the Chinese- or Portuguese-made FP polos would use the same cotton.

yep. i have made in UK, China and portugal Freds and the fit on UK Freds is slimmer. The China and Portugal freds are sized S-XL and I find that I need to size down for a proper fit. UK Freds are labeled by chest size. The cotton on UK freds seems to feel heftier, but they're all pretty close.
