denim stretch?

if a pair of jeans waist size 30 are 98% cotton and 2% lyrca, how many inches will they stretch to?

i'm contemplating getting a pair of lee normas but my true waist size is a 31.5, and there's only a 30 or 32. i normally wear jeans in 32 with a belt, but i don't know how the slim jeans with a 6.5" hem should fit.

I'd personally size down. I think you're better off buying them a little tight and letting them stretch out.

I once pon a time had a pair of Azzure jeans that were 98%-2% Lycra and they were a 36 that stretched all the way to 38.5 and back ..
