DON'T BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER!!!!

I bought Rick Owens sneakers from this seller. Seller intentionally put in a wrong shipping information to buy time for postal circulation (wrong recipient's name, wrong street address, wrong apartment number, wrong zip code). Item was tracked by a tracking number provided by the seller. Contact was made to USPS to locate the shipment. Once located, I personally requested USPS to hold the shipment at the local USPS office for me to pick up. The item turned out to be a complete fraud. I received a small envelope containing one nail (despite the transaction of Rick Owens sneakers).IMG_3748.jpgThis is what I received!!!

This is most likely not a mixup because It was too obvious that the recipient's shipping information (my address) was intentionally distorted to buy time in postal circulation in lieu of the hope that the shipment would then be returned to the sender. To think naively that this is some sort of a mixup will result in a transaction that would pass the dispute claim deadline, i.e. buyer can claim that the shipment was returned without reaching the intended destination. Playing this safe, I have carefully tracked the package with the reference tracking number that the seller has provided, taking the proactive approach to contact USPS to have the package rerouted (more explanation below) to be held at the local post office. Because of the misleading recipient's address that the seller intentionally put in, the package would never arrive at any location without my intervention as it is an invalid address and eventually will be returned to the sender.

That is;

My address that was indicated in the transaction is 2880 International Drive, APT 306B, Ypsilanti, MI 48197

The package was addressed to 280 International Dr., APT 30B, Ypsilanti, MI 48190 with my name truncated without my last name.

On the sender information, sender's name was indicated without last name. When tracing back, the sender's address turned out to be an invalid/fake address in Singapore. So when the shipment is returned to the country of origin, there will most likely be more time that this shipment will circulate in the postal system. This will add to the duration of mail circulation that will also be part of the result of past-due dispute claim deadline. With all of this, the sender can claim that the shipment was made. There is a reference tracking number that will only appear on the tracking system as it has reached a state in USA, but it will not have the full address displayed to show that the address is all distorted. Furthermore, sender's name does not match with paypal account.

I personally think this is not a mixup as it is too much to be an incidental occurrence of all the said matters. I have filed and escalated paypal dispute. I am reaching out to other potential buyers to watch out for any transactions with this seller. Should you choose to still continue your activities with this seller, it is all up to your consideration.
