not to start an argument, but this is a discussion board and talking about the merits of an artists work in a thread called the good new hip hop thread is pretty standard. if people want to get butt hurt or are tired of reading that sort of thing, there is tonnes of fashion porn to scope. this thread is mature enough by now that theres some people whove established themselves as good taste having listeners and some healthy disagreement is kinda fun. it makes for good jokes, if nothing else. i wouldnt try to talk someone out of liking lupe, but having to read about every time he makes a monosylabic verse about how deep he is gets real repetitive. im sure my casual hate gets boring too, but if were all throwing in our 2 cents at any given time, whose to say when the argument ends/begins. just roll with it doogs. we can just keep shitting this thread up until something fresh pops out. like them hezekiah tracks, that was pleasant.

But yeah, about the Hip-Hop vs America thing, Michael Eric Dyson kept trying to rhyme shit (lol), but both sides were giving valid points. Turns out one of the video girls came up with the idea fo the credit card swipe in the Tip-Drill video. In the end, I think it was all stupid because neither side wanted to hold themselves accountable and nothing really got done...like a big blame game. But it was interesting to hear some of the defense statements.
