couple traks in...

ill say this. im on the second track in a row that isnt all that good but im floored by how well thought out this is as a concept album. i liked kingdom come because it was real grown-up. this is an extension of those themes. i cant think of anyone else who are doing a complicated villain schtick. maybe its hommage to the film but only the clipse can approach street subject matter with this much maturity. jay z wrote an album about a lovable bad guy wihtout going the scarface route. dude speaking from the perspective of someone who sees every angle of a fucked up situation but is living it regardless because its fun and profittable. he acknowledges the ups and downs and really dwell son the guilt. i fucking love these lyrics when there on. the off ones get the pass. this is hamlet rap. dude is on some serious shit.

Hello Brooklyn is fucking terrible. a couple of guys said they though their playlist was on shuffle or something when it started playing, not surprised. beat is shit, wayne sounds like crap. hes really been put in his place though with all these feats. first Kanye, then LB, now Jay. everytime the other dude(s) on the track outshine him so badly.

random: Termanology - So Amazing (prod. by Premier)

ps = the beat on roc boys is OHHHHHH MY!!!!!!! this has to be just blaze.

I agree that the beat on Roc Boys is crazy, and yes I also thought that it felt like a Just Blaze prod, but surprisingly, I read somewhere online that it's by Diddy's crew. Same goes for American Dreamin', Pray and pretty much most of the album.

official production credits

IMHO I think he should've gone with more Primo or Just beats.

why would didy make music. i never understod that. doesnt seem like an effective use of his time.
^I think it's pretty much somebody else making the music and Diddy just putting his name on the label. (and maybe a comment or two).

he actually might have come to music pretty much by a misunderstanding

the y society album that was posted is butter. i didnt think itd sound like this. from what i know of damu, i thought itd be heavier. but i like the smoothness. and insight is in fine form. makes me wish edan was on a few cuts though.

west/noob: yes, edan is nardcore.

Ive been bumping the new Killah Priest all night - its pretty good. I like it much more than No Said Date, which like...2/5 for me.

It has Nasty Nas on it btw...

What did Malcolm think split second before he was shot?

Did he think to hit the deck on the floor before he dropped?

Or did he just say "Fuck it" I'ma die for my brothers?

'Cause by killing him just made his words teach others
