okay, it wasn't just me. now that i'm a little less drunk, i still can't figure out what setting can fix it.

turn the supertrash nob all the way to the right, you may have to jiggle it a little...

if that doesn't work, try up/down/up/down/left/right/left/right/select+start

if that doesn't do it, clear your cache, reboot in safe mode and lightly mist the computer with a solution of bleach, ammonia and laundry detergent.
