I just wanted to mention how much of a pleasure its been to be involved (sort of) with this contest. Got fat, then skinny,or found times where I simply couldn't wear my pair because of school/work. I hope everyone else has had fun with their pairs , Merry Christmas and a happy 2013 to all.

ADH92 and Christian have been working out all the details, I think there should be a 'formal' announcement about all the who's and what's relatively soon.

Again, thanks for a great contest. Enjoy these last 10 days!

this will be my last update since we're almost out of time.

My wife saw this plan in the This Old House magazine and recruited me to build it since I have the week off.

So stopping by Lowes last night to get the parts...

Now I got the lumber, but now how to figure out how to get it home on the bronco. I need an old truck badly.

Well Happy Holidays to everyone! can't believe it's been almost a year now since the contest started, I feel like I'm graduating again and going to miss every one. Peering thru this keyhole into so many different lives that were bound by a simple common thread, everyone wore the same pair of indigo chino's. Simple yet brilliant, nice work Andrew and Robbie! This thread would have fizzled out a long time ago if it wasn't for the passion and support of you all. Thank you! I will be working out key end of contest details with Robbie and Andrew. Christian

Thanks Misterh, it's been really fun being part of a contest and getting to know everyone involved and seeing the cool and wonderful things they do throughout the year...

now an update on my update... Spent half the day cutting out the pieces.

I used both my table saw and my rotary hand saw too...

did I mention it was a dusty job?

and now the finished pieces ready to be put together... tomorrow.

it was the first thing I bought when I moved out to LA. Back in the midwest, they're all rusted away... I spent over a year looking for a great shape original uncut bronco. I'm the second owner. It had a label sticker from the 70's saying "Happy Hooligan" across the dash.. hence my name and avatar.

another update... been working on this on and off for the past few days. Down to just the bottom trim and paint! Giving my pants a last workout... I'll wash off all the dust and grime for the final pics of one year.

Okay, last update on the pants for 2012!

Went hiking up the trail a bit today, ironically to the same spot (and photo set up) that I took that first pic a year ago with the pants...

Left Field pants with the Left field bandana and the rising sun jacket.

Awesome view from the top. Can even see a peak of the ocean.

The color these things have produced is amazing.

They put a bench at the top so you can just sit and relax.
