What should I do next...

These APC hipsters have been my second skin for 4 months and 21 days.. They are doing well I think, but it is time to do something either wash or soak or dry clean. Not sure what is the best option for these in the state they are in. I like the darkness and would like to maximize the contrast without losing too much indigo. I am thinking hot soak. Any comments are appreciated.

if they're starting to smell bad, a wash wouldn't hurt. the geowu school of denim washing textbook says so.

minimal, if you febreze, try using the anti-microbial febreze. first, pull your pants inside out. spray and hang.

if they still smell, a quick, gentle wash wouldn't hurt.

if you really don't want to wash, try a pet odor spray that is enzyme based and is ok for fabrics.

yeah, the febreze is in the orange bottle.

btw, if you do use a bacterial enzyme cleaner, please test on a small section before doing your whole jean. febreze should do the trick though. the enzyme cleaners are really for stuff like cat urine and feces.

if you are going to keep breaking them in I would dry clean or cold soak as that removes the least color. Hot soak them in 2-3 months.

they;re coming along really well, and only 4 mos of wear . . very nice.

I'd say miz is right on if you need to do some odor cleaning . . though I've never tried fabreeze myself, it seems like it does the job. what i've done is take a clean damp cloth towel and wipe down the insides of the jeans a couple of times and let them air out, inside out, it doesn't affect the indigo but kind of cleans up the inside of the jeans. obviously depends on how dirty they are on the inside.
