Never heard or seen any other version of these other than the original "Rare". You sure you talking about the same thing?

Fit pics. I got these a size bigger so the fit may be different and more snug that what I have on here.

Except those are the original Rare not the New Rare R008 which this post is on. You're talking about R005.

Huge dude. Raw the 36 inch ones are 101.1 CM on the waist, makes them about a 40, will shrink 9% of that. As long as you aren't over a 40 inch waist and have legs longer that 91.5cm you'll fit.

I was surprised to see these jeans in Lizard Lounge in Portland and for only $209. The details and the denim are beautiful. Unfortunately, the cut is way too wide and unflattering.

Got a picture of what you saw (facebook page). Might be the same not sure, after considering the picture for a while. Did you get a look inside and see the pockets and the stamps on them? It's weird they are so much cheaper.

Still will say they are R001's just re-packaged for foreign market.

They are the R008 for sure and were labeled as such. All of the details were there (patch, buttons, rivets, leather reinforcements AND the stamps on the pocket bags). The only thing I didn't see was the box, which just might not have been displayed.

Very weird. The price was 209USD for sure? That seems very strange. I may have to call them and ask them what is going on. No point for me to proxy them for 29400Yen if you can get them for 209USD.

Yeah, $209 for sure (and no tax since it's Portland). Had the fit been slimmer, I'd be soaking them right now.
