A lot of the albums mentiononed here with the exception of the Goats and others were pretty well received when they came out, I wouldent say underrated.

My all time most underrated and dissed by The Source is:

L.O.N.S. - T.I.M.E. The Inner Minds Eye. A classic in my book.

Witchdoctor - SWAT Healing Ritual

- seriously tweaked, quasi-spiritual Dungeon Family creepy-crunk. boom.

New Kingdom - Paradise Don't Come Cheap

New Kingdom - Heavy Load

- maybe the most slept on hip-hop group of the 90's. There probably would be any weirdo rap labels (i see you Def Jux/Big Dada/Lex/Etc.) without these dudes.

Son Of Bazerk - Bazerk Bazerk Bazerk

- The Bomb Squad house band. Insanity funk.

Prince Po - The Slickness

- This just came out last year it's already been slept on. "Hold Dat" was one of the best club jams of the year.

front, i dare you.

Oneself: True, a lot of albums were well recieved....but underrated could also be

a well recieved album that really didnt get the attention it deserved...ie: considered a classic

hip hop community....icon_smile.gif

The number one underrated hip hop album has got to be (in my opinion)

'93 til infinity by Souls of Mischief.

others:

Tougher than leather - Run DMC

Foundation - Brand Nubian

Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030

The Master - Rakim

totally did and just saw that now. I was totally thrown off by Diamond D being the first album in the first post....

none of these have flown under the radar, but they're worth revisiting:

da lench mob-guerillas in the mist

gravediggaz-6 feet deep

spice 1-187 he wrote

mc eight-we come strapped

all natural-no additives, no preservatives

that motherfucker nicky T-cocaine raps

lil kim-hardcore (mainstream success has clouded many a music-lover's appreciation of this album, the shit is fire)

paperboy-the nine yards (not classic)

yeah i did miss it Skooch. just saw it this morning, the Diamond D reference in the first line of the first post totally threw me off-

then again, willie d, puts and UTD are as "underrated" as Enta Da Stage, The Listening, and Breaking Atoms....

sure yall heard of these, but in case anybody needs some good isht to revisit for the holiday travels

da lench mob-guerillas in the mist

all natural- no additives, no preservatives

that motherfucker nicky T-cocaine raps

mc eight-we come strapped

spice 1--187 he wrote

lil kim-hardcore (flame away-despite mainstream success there are some sick songs here, the drugs beat is like whoa)

anything by Looptroop, it's by far the most underrated group ever in my opinion, cannot count how many peoples i got really stoked by making them listen to the records

otherwise

souls of mischief - 93 t'ill infinity

all the old boot camp records (OCG - the storm, Smif'n Wessun - dah shinnin, Heltah Skeltah - nocturnal, black moon enta tha stage)

group home - livin' proof

pretty much all records by living legends
