but biology says it's testosterone that does that....that's how Rogaine works, by counteracting testosterone receptors. So then...could the connection be that the most manly of men are genius designers? -- ha!!

There are a variety of factors that lead to hairloss, large amounts of testosterone being one of them. However, there are other factors such as genetic disposition to mpb, stress factors, environmental factors, as well as diet that lead to baldness. In the case of testosterone, that is more heavily related to diffusion (think allover balding). With a receding hairline, some argue that it may be genetic or due to the above factors, but some also argue it has to do with skull expansion. I'm wondering if the creative mind is somehow more fluent in these balding designers, or if their line of work is able to benefit from the excess of testosterone or some physical difference in their genetic makeup...
