Can anyone help me on question about identifying cone mills produced denim ?

After washing my jeans - I looked at the tag of a pair of Levis I own because they have a sexy texture to them unlike any other Levi's I have . What got me thinking is the tag says " CONE " on it ? Top button rear side is marked 273

Was the denim for these jeans made from cone mills ? 273 means made where ?

Difficult to add much useful information. If it says Cone, I'm sure it is Cone - Cone supply a lot of denim, of all different types, to Levi's. They're one of, if not the, biggest denim producers, and supply Gap and a huge number of mass market denims, as well as many fashion brands. Traditionally, Levi's have only ever used Cone for the 501, although I know they were thinking of introducing other suppliers - not sure if they did or not

yup it says 05529-0574 CONE 8129 ..

These aren't 501 though
