green selvage hemp denim

ok so i bought these 'exclusive' Levis Timothy Everest Tuxedo Jeans from oki-ni over a year ago

at the time of buying i didnt kno anything about selvedge denim, or denim/jeans for that matter, i usually bought jeans just for the look and the fit

just lookin thru all my old jeans and i came across these which i no longer wear (paid £145 from oki-ni, Saville Row), and i decided to research them (apparently only 10 were made in this fit, and 10 more made in a looser fit, 20 pairs of these style jeans altogether)

on the inside of the tag it says 60% cotton, 40% hemp

i searched superfuture and here's a quote i got for a different article of clothing from the Levis/Timothy Everest range...

"Made in England using Levi�s� exclusive archive green selvage hemp denim"

just wanted to know if this is the "exclusive archive green selvage hemp denim"

the whiskering looks pretty bad in those pictures, but its much more discreet in the flesh

is the green edge clean and woven or does it have stitichings? I can't tell by looking at the pics.

If it is clean then it is selvage, otherwise it is not.

from the first pic, i'd say they look selvage, but that picture is sort of out-of-focus.

if the inside outseam looks like this one, (i.e. no frayed edges) then its selvage.

huh? that doesnt look like selvage. Selvage is cloth which finishes itself, no additional loop stitching.

Try the macro fuction on your cam. do u know where it is?

I think it's selvage - I know I've seen Sugarcanes with similar selvage lines.

Plus, if the tag says it's selvage, no reason not to believe them.

i cant be sure but it looks like there is topstitching on the seams.

that would mean they are not selvedge.

They are selvage. I have a similar pair from Levis RED. The selvage looks exactly the same.
