  2. Due to some issues at the denim mill used to produce the mixed fiber denim Sugar Cane is no longer producing these year round. Both the Okinawa and Hawaii will only be made once a year or so, making them a bit difficult to find in stock unless you buy a pair right when a retailer restocks it.
  3. Damn, Okinawa restock....having trouble resisting!

  6. I'm 183cm/73kg and wear 32x32 for 711. I have faily long legs/high hips and the lower rise is still fine without a belt, as @beautiful_FrEaK said.
  7. What did you land Julian? The link doesn't work for the UK
  8. Yeah I'm not against low rises in general so the extra room in the hips and thighs is reassuring. Will probably go for it...
  9. I’ve expanded my Sun Surf & Star of Hollywood collection recently. Unfortunately the weather has not been cooperative here….

  12. I’ll keep an eye on this as I’m going to be out near Edinburgh for a week or so in late June. Visiting family but still might be able to steal off to see a site or three. For me, bonus if it’s friendly for a three year old.
  13. Nope. It's really better to wear them without a belt. Since the hips and thighs are wider you have more crotch room which is good for the lower rise. Anyhow, you either like lower rise jeans and like to wear them or you don't 😅
  14. Thanks @beautiful_FrEaK And you don't find them overly restricting?
  15. That would be me. I have similar stats and wear a W34
  16. I’m going to be in Scotland (Edinburgh - 4 days, Oban - 2 days, Glasgow - driving through from Oban back to Edinburgh) 5/31 - 6/7 and wondering if anyone has recommendations on things to check out that are off the beaten path: castles, gardens, breweries, distilleries, yarn shops… any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated!
  17. I like the look of the 711. The waist at 34 looks right but I'm scared by the low back rise. Has anyone on the bigger side (I'm 87kg 182cm with fairly big legs) made them work without sizing up so as to need a belt?

  21. Exactly so - if the top block of a pair of 22s is bigger than a pair of 51s, I’m not going to size down looking to transform them into the same ‘fit’. Everyone has their own approach but I am truly baffled by the endless queries around how 5mm makes a difference 🤷‍♂️
  22. That makes sense. So is that why you mention you take the same size in all FW - even if the waist is oversized - to stay as true as possible how that cut/pattern was intended?
  23. The xx4 denim in my 01’s is soft, but not more than FC’s. It also has formed creases quite well and held them - actually more than almost anything I’ve worn in recent years. Not that I’m usually wearing stuff known for that. I’m probably just at about 2-3 months of total wear on them and only ever did the initial hot soak and hand wash with a good bit of hand agitation. We’ll see what the second wash does, we’re not there yet.
