  4. Geeman

    Belts

Seconded. It's a great colour for matching dark brown shoes.
  5. Thanks for the info, I have gone through the thread and I have figured some of the out. Just need to find out some info of lot 150. I am going to ask the seller but it might get lost in translation
  6. 162 also quite wide and straight legged with quite large rises - really comfortable - and also based on Levis, their interpretation of a late 30s model If you scroll through the thread, you'll see the fits on Smooth, me and other Sufu'ers which should help
  7. Lot 147 is the widest and based on a Lee model. lot 161 is also wide and based on a Levi’s model. tha other ones I don’t know
  8. Duke Mantee

    Belts

This is by far the thickest belt I’ve decorated - J&FJ Baker oak tanned bridle @ nearly 15oz, with ultra heavy solid brass buckle, brass hardware, cobra overlays, onyx and tiger eye gemstones, and antique Japanese coin
  9. Vintage Frank Thomas motorcycle boots.
  10. I measure with the denims pulled tight across the waist
  11. It might be a little less drastic as it seems now lol. When I got them they measured 17 3/4 inch flat. Now, after wearing them around a year and with multiple soaks and 2 machine washes at 60 degrees celcius they measure just under 17 inch. Still, some notable shrinkage? Ofcourse they will stretch out a little but not to 17 3/4 I’m sure. Here’s an image, I can’t get it to show here, don’t know why: https://imgur.com/a/eG5Q52b
  12. I’ve never had (or heard of) a pair of FW denims shrink like that - over 2 inches?! Wow
  13. Hi all I am looking to get a pair of denim but with little info anround and I need some advice on the the different fits. I have seen some of the fits and they are a little too wide for my liking. How would you describe Lot 147, 150, 161 and 162? thanks in advance
  14. @frank I find them TTS as well. I own both ‘47 and ‘51 models and both are pretty TTS. However, my 36x32 ‘51 shrunk a little further after two machine washes on 60 degrees celcius. They measure a little under 34 inch now, will probably stretch to 34 or a little over with wearing. When I got these they measured just under 36 inch. Inseam is now around 31 inch.
  15. every time I wear this shirt I tell myself I need to wear it more. Haha
  16. feels weird with no denim…. Freewheelers stifel shirt Runabout chinos Nicks boots
  17. I found them TTS. They came in a little snug but stretched out and broke in nicely. I find FW is pretty good w reliable sizing - not that getting measurements isn’t a good idea but I trust the tag with them more than most.
  18. How's the sizing on the '51 jeans? I know the measurements on Speedway are a bit funky and wasn't sure if I should go TTS with them or not.

  27. Tezomeya ebizome-iro (madder root + cochineal, mordanted with alum + wood vinegar) henley neck tee Really like this thing a lot. I have two other, much older tees from them as well, which are just as deserving of photo shoots, but I’m wearing one now and the other’s in the laundry. I have a few other newer ones, too, that aren’t yet worth photographing. All that’s to say that I really love their shirts, and will def. be continuing to buy more whenever the opportunity arises. Really great fabric, great dyeing, overall A+ work
  28. Sauce Zhan heavyweight cotton tee garment dyed w/ natural pigment (I think maybe from magnolia?) Picked this up in ~2017 and have worn it a couple times a month since. With all pigment-dyed tees, I really enjoy seeing the border than forms between sun-bleached and not, where they get tucked in. On this one, I’ve noticed something I’d never seen before, which is a darker imprint of the front of the collar on the back of the neck (pics 4 & 6). I can only imagine that it’s from when the shirt is out drying in the sun after getting washed, since those two parts don’t see each other at all when it’s getting worn. In any case, it’s become an absolute favorite detail. I’m bummed out by the polyester stitching, which looks more and more out of place the longer I wear the shirt, but I’m usually able to look past it, and overall I like the shirt a lot
