Nice video. Would have been even better to see how the tux would have looked worn by him and whether the fit is wider or tighter.

Denime XX - A journey over 3 decades
beautiful_FrEaK replied to beautiful_FrEaK's topic in superdenim
@bod good choice! They run smaller than older Denime (IMO) but fingers crossed they will fit! -
Came across this channel of a Japanese gentleman wearing the Late S40s tux, some serious fade inspiration here. He said that he washed for the first time around five months of wear, then about twice a month after that, currently around 10 months of wear. To me, this kind of fade is pretty much ideal. But since my jeans and jacket fit me more loosely, I doubt mine will look this dramatic even if I had the same wash routine.

Good stuff bF, just bought a pair of 30th XX, just hope they fit when they arrive

What happens with all your lovely house plants @chicote Do they make the move with you like Léon or do you take a select few and donate the rest? -
Thanks all. Feels like they’ve just started showing some color over the last month or two, and I’m happy with how they’re going. I’ve slowed down enough on the Word of Mouth contest to be pretty consistently wearing these around twice a week, at this point, so I’m hopeful that there’ll be more real progress to show in the next half year

With regards to sizing, you are totally right @chicote. All cars are getting bigger. Glad you use yours as intended, but I bet you get asked all the time to "help with moving?" 😂 (ask me how I know) Minitruckin' is more of a style and less about the actual size. Semantics. It's about chopping, shaving, bagging, dropping, and scraping. You could bag an F350 or a HumVee, and it would still be considered a "minitruck." -
I just moved apartments and had a guy in an 8 foot tall Silverado gawking at me as i drove to my new place with my stuff packed like this in my bed … hey at least my truck can carry more than groceries!!! edit: also as to why they’re called “mini” trucks (not my photo but i have had dozens of experiences like this, esp in the Home Depot parking lot lol) .. this is a late 90s/early 00s Toyota pickup vs a 2020s f150. Notice the bed sizes are exactly the same length!

What colour were they, what were the temperature settings and spin speeds and how many were in each shop? Did you have to put coins in to make them work or did they override that function? 😂
-
@Vamp they were semi-professional. Like the ones you would find at a laundromat

Fantastic Julian! This is the first worn-in pair of these I've seen. We did an overdyed test on my own pair of worn-in 125s, which are really cool (back a few pages) but totally different as the wear is pre-dye. It's really interesting to see how subtle the undyed parts are on the outside, but still very bright on the inside. A nice little personal detail. Thanks for posting!
