Can anyone tell a bit about Crate denim.

They are cali based, barney's has carried them for 5 or so months I believe. I have the james light, I like them. Thats about all I can tell you, try a google search.

As stated, they are Caifornia based, in LA to be specific. There is minimal hardware, and the one distinguishing detail is a 6th pocket in the back pocket, not unlike that in some Yanuk models. Their distinguishing selling point is that all their jeans are made from deadstock denim sourced from old US mills. Don't know how sustainable that is. They carry a straightleg and a bootcut model. This is their second or third season, I believe. Thinking of getting a pair?

Thanks for the info. I just bought a pair (The James) in Chicago. They're a lighter dry wash and have a great straight leg cut.

That looks like a french field jacket. Too lazy to look for it, but there is a thread, including a link to a site, on Styleforum discussing just that.

it is a french military jacket...basically the M-65 equivalant in the US, try army navy stores or ebay

nice. i figured it was one of their jackets since the interview mentions them wearing their own clothes in the picture.
