american military uniforms.

though it sounds stupid, i was wondering where uniforms are made. the reason im asking is because many of the m-65s ive seen dont say where they were made. and on the alpha website some say made in the u.s. and others aren't.

most of Propper's BDUs arent made in the US anymore, they are made in Dominican Republic.

My father was a store keeper for the U.S Navy and handled all the orders and what not for supplies.

He was looking at my M-65 and mentioned that the 2 numbers after the stock number indicated the location of where the jacket was produced.

ex:

STOCK NO: 8415-01-325-6439

If the 2 numbers after 8415 are either 00 or 01, that indicates that the jacket was produced in the U.S.

I was wondering that too. Here's the tag from my Goretex parka. Its stamped 96, i assume thats when it was originally issued...

My Alpha M65 (total garbage btw) has stock number 8415-01-bla-bla

01 and MADE IN CHINA. so much for that theory.

funny. youd think the american uniforms would be made in the u.s. its ironic.

Same with the good 'ol American Flag for christ sake. the majority of them are made overseas.
