FS: BoO Wool Gauze Tartan Jacket PRice Drop!

Up for sale is this amazing Band of Outsiders tartan blazer size 2. Bought from Barney's last fall where it retailed for over $1500, this is a very unique garment. I've dropped the price considerably from the initial offering. It's now going for $450 shipped.

Made from a very interesting wool gauze, the texture looks kind of rough and scruffy, but it’s actually soft and light to the touch.The true color is – for the background: navy.The tartan: cranberry, yellow and white.As you can see in the close-up photos (although the camera does this jacket no justice) the tartan pattern fades in and out by design for a striking effect.There are two patch pockets.One breast pocket.Three interior pockets, one with a flap and button closure.The lining is the familiar Band of Outsiders navy and white striped made from 100% cupro.The jacket is canvassed – not fused – and hand made at the renowned Martin Greenfield factory in Brooklyn.It has two side vents.

The jacket is worn, but worn carefully, and cared for like a garment of this pedigree should. The jacket has been taken in around body. The only flaw is that when the jacket was taken in, it caused the tartan pattern to cross (see pic number 3. Those two lines going down the middle of the jacket come together where they used to be parallel). If this is something that bothers you, you can always have the jacket let out and the problem would be fixed. Other than that, the jacket is flawless. In fact I hate to see it go, but it's a bit too big on me around the shoulders and I don't want to try and get the shoudlers altered so....

shoulder to shoulder: 17 inches.

underarm to underarm: 19 and one-half inches, so about a 39†all around.

sleeve (from shoulder seam to cuff): 26 inches.

length (front. top of collar to bottom of hem): 32 inches.

length (back. top of collar to bottom of hem): 28 and one-half inches
