thanks man... im just using garage band and future decks. its still mono but going to work on some panning soon. any tips to make the drums sound better? I am still new to this.

increase volume on them and add some delay. it makes drums sound alot more real.

i'm still hugely amateurish at the whole beat making game as well. theres tonnes of shit on the net about the minutiae of making drums sound real... and everything else.

I agree about the production needing some tweaking, the drums do sound a bit dead but that said its still pretty well produced. You can always mess around with the EQing on the drums or put a bit of reverb on them to beef them up. Id also mess around with the filters on your hi hat, it sounds canned. Maximising the most of 2 channels will make the song more interesting. Im not that crazy about your opening drum loop I feel like youve put too many beats in on the end of the loop and it clutters the sounds up, but thats probably just personal taste and you could prob fix that with some production tweaks. Also the effects around the 3 min mark are a little too much, is it a phaser? I like the general idea of doing that though it breaks the song up a bit. Its def a solid track. Will someone be rapping over this?
