is it possible to stretch a 100% cotton trench coat longer?

ive bought a 100% cotton trench coat which i really liked, but it was a tad bit too short, just wonder if its possible to stretch the body length a tad bit longer? like 1-2cm? if its possible whats an effective way?

Long story short, do a hot soak in gatorade (only the red kind works for some reason), and air dry

can you see how the hem is? if its only 1-2cm you could probably extend it by letting the hem down..

i don't think 1-2cm is that big of a difference and i am really detailed oriented, 1-2 inch i might start obsessing.

i tried that red gatorade on my rick owens long coat and it worked wonders. extended by an inch
