Does anyone get blank pages for threads.

Does this happen to anyone else? Sometimes there is a new page for a thread but there is nothing on it and new the post still go on the previous page untill it is full....

in short: CFBB (the forum software supertalk runs on) sucks ass-shit.

I hope the vBulletin transition will happen soon, but wayne is having problems finding a way to import the old supertalk message database into a new vBulletin forum....

Hmm, I don't think vBulletin is all that hot either... I have been on a few vBulletin forums, and they seem to bog down a lot.

They also don't seem to have as effective a search feature as CFBB, IMO.

Not that anyone uses search, of course. Ha, ha.

yeah vBulletin has its issues, certainly (esp. with search routines) but overall it's a much better and more operable forum framework.

Plus the mod tools for vBulletin are way more effective.

the no name thing usually happens when you take your sweetass time posting and it times out even after you click post. i think UBB is a good alternative for forum software if you're shopping for a new one.

UBB is decent. I like punBB a lot as well.

unfortunatley along with vBulletin the main problem is porting the current supertalk message database to whatever new software wayne and chad decide to go with.

despite all the problems like the blank pages, the icons that don't upload and the blank authors, i like this forum more than most i've seen. it looks prettier. maybe that's just me.

The main problem is just a lame error in the paging array that doesn't properly allocate posts to the right pages.

In laymans terms: The forum thinks it should make a new page a few posts before it actually should, hence the blank pages.

Five minutes of troubleshooting could probably fix things up.

yeah i think the search button on this forum works a lot better than other forums i use. cough niketalk cough.
