Anyone know of designers that do a more modern interpretation of shirts like these:

I have two shirts like that, one is a NZ brand gubb & mackie,

i also have a black ann demeulemeester, it has the military style pockets but no epalets.

my girlfriend bought it for me it is too big, so i have never worn the shirt only the tie that came with it.

History Preservation has a really awesome Rangoon shirt. WWII impressions makes the British Airtex like the desert rats wore and it is really nice. Go to INDYGEAR.com it has about half a dozen links to similar shirts. I like it too!

Check out Nice Collective, they make shirts that are very hip and along those lines. I also saw a cool one recently from Helmut Lang on eBay but it's nowhere to be found now.

Thanks for the input, keep em coming. I believe the picture is from History Preservation. 'Epalets', is that what the two shoulder flaps are called? I never knew the proper term, but I really like the style.

APC made some for their spring collection http://www.apc.fr/eu/en/fiche_article.php?ref=1C019713258H with a more formal cut/design.

Also, I believe the term for shoulder tabs/flaps is 'epaulettes'.
