really fine cotton pants, they are stitched in such a way that they twist when worn. the crotch is a bit extended giving them the look of updated rider pants, less like a harem style (material boy etc.). the pockets have soft leather inserts shown closely in the last photo. you can see additional pictures of them worn in the braganza lookbook (style no. 15)
