A.P.C Narrow Trousers

I'm looking to purchase a pair of A.P.C. Navy narrow trousers and had a brief sizing question. The small is listed as a 28, but are these pants, alike all of their denim - vanity sized? Or should I get my normal size of 30?

Well I'm going for a slim fit, but not overly skinny. I wear a 28 in Petit Standards but I'm not sure about what I should get in these considering the cut of the pants. I take it these are vanity sized?

Get a size small. I tried them on the other day and couldn't button the XS, but I could button up the Small. With that said though, for me atleast, the cut wasn't very flattering.

Hrm, now I'm a little hesitant on getting them. I'm trying to get a feel for what they fit like. Do they have a lot of taper? Like, would you compare them to a New Standard or a New Cure or what?

Well, I'm almost ready to pull the trigger. I just gotta' decide on sizing. If I wear a 28 in Petit Standards (Tight fit.) Should I go with a 28 in the narrow trousers? I mean, I don't want them to be overly tight, I'd like to wear them for more formal situations.

These look really good. I think the APC fit in the new Co-Op lookbook is the best one in there. Going to Miami Co Op soon to try these on and probably purchase

I'm a true 31, and a S fit me (I think we're talking about the same thing). Didn't particularly like the cut. It was alright though, not particularly slim.

That actually helps out a lot, how would you say they compare to Petite Standards?

Not sure if what I bought was the "narrow" trouser, but a few days ago I bought cotton APC trousers at Barneys in Chicago, size XS. They are my first pair of APC pants that aren't corduroy or denim. I own a pair of PS in 30 (fit perfectly after stretching), and I tried a pair of PS cords in 30, but they were too small. I also own a pair of NS cords in 30, and they are just a tad snug, but not uncomfortable. In other labels (theory, for instance), I wear a 32, sometimes a 31. So, I have no idea why I wear a size XS in these APC trousers, but there you go. In APC terms, I would have to say that the cut is closer to NS than PS, only because they have a greater rise, and the leg opening, while narrow, is not as slim as PS. I measured the leg opening when I bought them, and if I remember correctly it was just shy of 8." I agree, though, that these pants should be tried on, because while they are comparable to other APC cuts, they are their own thing.

The ones at barneys i tried on fit nice. I liked em'. Might buy them and sell my a77s but i'm so damn lazy. They were like $200 at barneys though. Bit too much for me
