California..from SF to SD

Ill be flying into San Francisco from Montreal June 26th and flying out of San Diego July 5th.

I'm trying to plan the 10days ahead of time and wondering if anyone has some input..things to see and do.. More time in San Fran and less in LA?

What beaches to hit along HWY 1?

Nice hotels along the way?

what kind of things do you enjoy as i think it really depends on your hobbies as to whether you'll want to spend more time in l.a. or not. if you're the nature-type person i'd recommend spending more time in nor cal as there's more hiking and shit up there. if you like beaches and bitches though, head down to l.a. and do it up big.
