i guess it was due to the direction that the thread was headed. but it's symptomatic of what's happened lately with the inconsistent moderation of this forum. why this discussion was bumped and not the 'robin williams' thread; who the hell knows. furthermore, it appears certain members can say or ask whatever they want, and it's treated like gold. a poor noob comes on and asks a niave (but relevant) question and he gets locked, bumped, or "search, dammit". oh i'll probably get flamed, but i don't care- i'm used to being the cranky old man.
